Don’t miss Subcontracting & Financing: Build Your M/WBE’s Capacity for NYC Contracting, a free virtual event on May 15, 2024, from 12 pm to 2:30 pm with networking from 11:30 a.m. to 12:300 p.m. You’ll learn from successful M/WBE Mentors how to build your capacity through subcontracting and how to access affordable capital.
Hiring subcontractors is a crucial strategy for companies vying for NYC contracts. Our M/WBE Mentors have been on both sides of subcontracting and will share both experiences. You gain government contracting experience by bringing your expertise to a prime vendor. Conversely, you enhance your proposal's appeal by hiring M/WBE subcontractors to expand your capacity and know-how.
Don’t let cash flow challenges keep you from taking this opportunity to grow your business. This event will also show you how NYC can help you access tailored financing solutions—with lower financing costs— that improve your cash flow.

About M/WBE Mentors Program
The M/WBE Mentors program, provided by the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), is the first peer mentorship program for NYC’s certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs).
Through an event series, entrepreneurs who have been highly successful and represent a variety of industries and backgrounds serve as mentors. By mining their own experience for advice, these mentors provide the insight their peers need to succeed and chart their own path of growth through government contracting.
