However, despite this potential, underrepresented founders in NYC—and nationwide—receive only a fraction of VC funds. That’s why NYC Economic Development Corporation commissioned research to benchmark and track diversity data in NYC and compare it to other VC hubs, gathering best practices and resources along the way. The goal is to not only share numbers but also promote diversity as a superpower and foster more inclusion within the venture community.
