Best Practice

A best practice is a technique, method, process, guideline, etc. that has proven to consistently lead to a superior result. It can also be described as the most efficient (least amount of effort) and effective (best results) way of accomplishing a task, based on repeatable procedures that have proven over time for large numbers of organizations. There is, however, no practice that is best for an organization or in every situation, and no best practice remains best forever as people keep improving ways of doing things.
